Nationals 2009
Well it was the big day, and I was pretty excited for it as we were all playing Palkia Lock. When it was getting started I was nervous as hell and I went to sit across from my first opponent and he didn't seem like he was that competitive from a little chat with him. However, when it was all started and rolling, I had probably the worst game of my life w/ palkia and he ended up winning. I was quite upset. Round 2 I sat across from a nice girl from Kentucky and we talked for a little before the start, ends up my deck made up for the first game as I donked her lone Horsea. Round 3 I played against another person from Kentucky, except this player was running Luxray GL w/ sunnyshore. He was able to get the stadium out within the first 5 turns rendering my croak useless. I started making a comeback when I k.o. his luxray X and benched luxray, however about a minute later time was called and I couldn't get a K.O. to tie prizes. 1-2 At this point I need a huge turn around or else I'm done for. Round 4 played what seemed like he was only there because of family or something as he was running Mightyena Toxitank. I played smart and was able to win fairly easy. 2-2. Round 5 I'm playing yet another Kentucky player lol, he was running flygon but I power locked so bad that he wasn't able to do anything and I won easily. 3-2. Round 6, playing a guy with flygon again, and the same story, power lock from the start where he couldn't do anything and I won. 4-2. Round 7 I'm playing a guy with Legos and he had a really good start, I was able to put up a fight between Palkia and Raichu but in the end I couldn't pull it off. 4-3 Round 8 playing a guy with Machamp. I played the match flawlessly as a lot of people were watching behind me, the only prizes he took were because I sacrificed them. 5-3. As the standings went up I didn't really get up to look because I knew I didn't make it, and I didn't lol. What a terrible day. On the other hand, all of Colorado did excellent as Daniel and Ian went Undefeated in both flights. Ian, Bret, Adrian, Daniel, Ryan, Kevin all made top cut. I guess I'll just have to hope for the best at the grinders...if it's even worth it.

Professor Cup '09
Today was the 2009 Professor Cup and I was able to participate in it because I earned enough points throughout the year. I had to wait about 20 minutes in line to register for it and then waited another 20-30 mins for it to start up. On the other side of the room they had a huge modified tournament going on. We all sat down and was handed our 8 packs, then they handed out a pack of sleeves for the professors only. These sleeves are awesome, they're black with a white professor symbol on them. We proceeded to open our packs and do the draft. I had the worst luck ever drafting or the other guy had the best luck ever. Not only was he able to get usable cards for the tourney, he also was able to get the "good" cards like luxray GL and a full flygon line including the Lv. X. I was pretty upset as I had to resort to an Infernape 4/Leafeon Glaceon deck. I lost the first, won the second, lost the third, and decided to drop. I should have planned better for the cup by reading up on all the available cards in the set and several different strategies. Oh well, theres always next year hopefully

Ft. Collins BR
We drove like an hour out to go to the FT. Collins Battle Roads and more players showed up than we expected, mainly the competitive ones that we usually see. I didn't know if I was judging or playing but I brought my Deck/List just in case. I was anxious to try my new GardeGar deck as it had been doing really good during playtest. Ends up I was playing and 1st round the CPU gave me a bye....I was pissed cuz that meant I most likely had to go undefeated the rest of the tourney to get into top 4 finals. I played Chris 2nd round and it looked like he was going to win as he took 5 quick prizes, then I stopped putting down pokemon and just had my Mewtwo X out, he had no counter so it was pretty much game over. 2-0. Next played Ryan w/ his Flygon/Machamp, he had a decent start but couldn't draw into a supporter to help him out, I ended up winning. 3-0. Next played James w/ his Palkia/Gengar, it was a close match but I feel like I would have won had both my Gastly's not been prized. 3-1. Last played Daniel w/ Palkia, his only counter for mewtwo was Dialga which was way too slow for a 2-2 mewtwo and I ended up winning 4-1. Ends up me AND Kevin made top cut but unfortunatley had to play each other. Top cut against Kevin the Mime really jacked him up as I used it to stall a little bit then K.O. things w/ garde and gengar. Finals against James, same deck that I should have beat and I did...twice, mewtwo kinda messed up his palkia and i used my own gengar to get by his. He misplayed at the end of the 2nd game when he attached to his benched gastly instead of gengar to poltergiest. 6-1 and another Victory Medal, yay I kept my streak going of winning a BR for each season lol.

Shopwiki.com Team Sports
Team sports is one of the most popular activities for people of all ages. It seems that just about everyone that plays sports participates in more than one and sometimes all of them! For someone like me that plays in multiple sports, I need quite the selection of equipment and I would rather spend my time playing than searching all over at stores and websites for the correct items and good prices along with it. Buying all that gear can get pretty expensive so I'm always looking to get the best deal and save money. I've recently run into Shop Wiki when I was looking for the Nike 4005 Official Size Basketball, and not only did I find it in their items, but they also had over 10 stores/websites that had the ball for sale and their prices all on 1 page; that is very helpful as I don't have to use search engines and go to many different sites only to be let down and have wasted time. I know now that when I need any new equipment for sports that I play, shop wiki will be my first stop and probably my only stop. Whether your looking for Football, Soccer, or even Cheerleading, you name it they have just about every sport that you would need and sites for great deals. Next time you are looking to purchase new team sports items, check out Shop Wiki, you won't be disappointed.
